Anjelica Huston shows she's not too old to wear a bikini at 57 as she relaxes in the Caribbean

At 57, most women may opt for something a little less revealing to wear on the beach.

But actress Anjelica Huston showed no qualms as she lounged around in a black bikini on a holiday with her friends and family in the Caribbean.

The make-up free star looked in good spirits as she lapped up the sun before taking a ride in a speedboat yesterday.

And after suffering the loss of her husband a month ago, it's no wonder Anjelica, who starred as Morticia Addams in the Addams Family, was looking to spend some time out to relax.

Robert Graham died on December 27 at the age of 70 after being in ill health for sometime.

The famous sculptor, whose massive bronze sculpture works mark civic monuments across America, married Anjelica in 1992 and the couple lived together in California.

His funeral was attended by a flock of Hollywood A-listers, including Sharon Stone, Harrison Ford and Jack Nicholson, who Academy Award-winning Anjelica was romantically involved with from 1973 until 1989.

During her day out on the beach yesterday, Anjelica made time for a splash in the sea between bouts of lounging around on the beach.

She later covered up and slipped into a tie-dye dress before embarking upon a dingy boat to enjoy a ride across the waters.

As well as being in mourning, the star has also found time recently to press ahead with her campaigning duties as supporter of the charity PETA (People for th Ethical Treatment of Animals).

Anjelica penned an open letter to director Stephen Summers asking him to use CG animals instead of live apes in his upcoming Tarzan reboot, currently in development at Warner Bros.

She says the animals are emotionally and physically abused during their careers, then shipped off to roadside zoos when they become too old to handle.

'Critics lauded King Kong in particular for the emotional depth that the giant ape displayed - without any real apes suffering in the process,' she wrote.

'Can I please hear that you similarly plan to use only creative alternatives to great apes in Tarzan?'

Mussa Hassan Mgosi hakufanya makosa - akaukwamisha mpira wavuni akimwacha kipa Nelson Kimath akichupa bila mafaniko, alipodanganyika kufuata ngoma upande sio.

Uncovered: Turkish designer Cengiz Abazoglu's provocative new design

Posing alluringly in a barely-there purple gown, this model looks as if she's auditioning for the Cheeky Girls.

But even the usually daring pop duo may have second thoughts about wearing this particular creation.

Despite being floor-length, the lilac tunic gives a daring glimpse of the wearer's derriere.

The provocative new design was unveiled by up-and-coming Turkish designer Cengiz Abazoglu during Paris Fashion Week.

Embellished with silver embroidery and held up by detached silver cuffs, it was the most striking piece of a strong capsule collection.

Abazoglu also showed pink, white, electric-blue and mint-green dresses as part of the his Haute Couture 2009 spring/summer collection.

None of his extrovert designs could be described as modest.

As well as the bottom-flashing gown, there were dresses slashed to the waist, and tunics which skimmed the thighs.

The designer also seems to have a particular fascination with sheer fabrics which offered tantalising glimpses of parts of the body.

His models, however, proved more than up to the challenge, flaunting their exposed curves and posing for photographs backstage in the plush reception rooms of the prestigious George V Hotel in Paris on Monday.

Little-known Abazoglu can already count Britney Spears and Paris Hilton to vaunt his products, after they bought handbags from his previous collection, CA Deluxe Pret-a-Porter.

The designer, who works mainly in Russia, has stores in Ankara, Istanbul, Moscow, Tokyo, LA and New York.

Meanwhile, French designer Dominique Sirop revealed a sophisticated number.

The black and white see-through dress gave the model a more modest look, while being equally seductive.

Sirop defines himself as a 'minimalist dandy'. He says the ideal aesthetic is to join sophistication with simplicity.

Daring: Abazoglu's other creations included these two skimpy numbers

He has a collection of high-profile fashion clients.

His fashion collections can be seen every season at six major fashion weeks, Milan, Paris, London, Tokyo, Los Angeles and New York.

His designs are often featured in fashion magazines such as Vogue and Madame Figaro.

The pair joined other top names such as Chanel, Dior, Givenchy and Louis Vuitton for Paris Fashion Week.

The cheeky boys: Beckham's team-mates touch his bottom for good luck... as he's dubbed AC Milan's 'lucky talisman'

Just maybe not quite this friendly.

The 33-year-old football ace was seen getting groped by his AC Milan team-mates, Andrea Pirlo and Clarance Seedorf during the Serie A stars game against Bologna at the Renato Dall'Ara stadium.

But it wasn't just a case of cheeky behaviour, the pair were congratulating midfielder Beckham - and also touching him for luck after he scored his first goal for the club he is on loan to for three months.

AC Milan's Andrea Pirlo, (L) and Clarance Seedorf (R) congratulate British midfielder David Beckham after he scored against Bologna during a Serie A football match at the Renato Dall'Ara stadium in Bologna

An AC Milan insider said: 'Everyone knows Beckham has a golden touch and he has proved that since he arrived.

'Italy is a superstitious country and people often touch things for luck - the players are doing the same with Beckham and touching his bottom because he is seen as a lucky mascot.'

Pictures of the players touching the bottom of Beckham were published in several Italian newspapers, all with the headline: 'Now he is a lucky talisman.'

Since the former Manchester United player arrived in Milan, the side has not lost a match both in the Italian league, nor in a friendly.

Top selling Italian sports daily Gazzetta Dello Sport said: 'He even brings luck - since he arrived not one defeat.'

They also noted how even when he was in the stand watching Udinese they did not lose.

Footballers Are Idiots: Mikel Charged With Drink-Driving

The 21-year-old Nigerian was pulled over near Chelsea’s training ground in Cobham on Saturday morning at 5:30 AM after a policeman noticed him driving erratically in his Range Rover. Less than 12 hours later, Chelsea were taking to the pitch to play Ipswich in the FA Cup fourth round. Mikel was officially charged and will be due in court on April 3rd to face trial.

A Chelsea spokesman stated, "We are aware [Mikel] was arrested and charged. We want to establish the facts before we comment.”

It’s been rumored that Mikel knew he would not be involved in the match against Ipswich, but that is still no excuse for his behavior.

Lubanga akanusha mashtaka

Miss World finalist who had hands and feet amputated after being hit by infection dies

Tragic: Brazilian bikini model Mariana Bridi had her hands and feet amputated after being struck down with an infection

A two-time Miss World finalist whose feet and hands were amputated after contracting a drug-resistant infection has died.

Brazilian model Mariana Bridi, 20, died early on Saturday morning from complications related to a generalised infection caused by the bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa, the Espirito Santo State Health Secretariat said in a statement. The bacteria is known to be resistant to multiple kinds of antibiotics.

Health officials on Friday said Bridi was not breathing on her own and was undergoing hemodialysis at a hospital in the city of Serra.

The beauty had undergone emergency surgery this week after she fell ill with a virus that spread to her blood.

Her devastated boyfriend Thiago Simoes said at the time: 'We are all absolutely distraught and are just praying now that she can pull through.

'She fell ill on December 30 and we took her to hospital where she was misdiagnosed with a kidney stone.

'They gave her some medicine and sent her home. But two days later she started getting worse.

'We took her back to hospital and they said she had a very serious infection.

'She got more and more sick, and had no blood circulation to her limbs.

'First she lost her feet, then on Tuesday she lost both her hands.

'But she is a very strong person and we just want her to survive.'

Tragic: Brazilian model Mariana Bridi represented her country in international contests before she was struck down by a drug-resistant infection

Doctors took the heartbreaking decision to amputate her feet when the poison spread to her blood and cut off her circulation.

Then they decided they would have to remove her hands as well.

But after that surgery she suffered an internal haemorrhage and had another emergency operation on Wednesday afternoon.

Miss Bridi was a finalist in the search for Brazil's Miss World contestant in 2006 and 2007.

In 2007 she flew to China to represent her country in the Miss Bikini international competition.

She won a prize there for the most beautiful body, and came sixth out of 50 candidates.

International beauty: Miss Bridi fell ill just three weeks ago

Henrique Fontes, executive director of Miss World Brazil, said Miss Bridi badly needs a transfusion of the uncommon blood type O negative.

He said: 'She has always been a great fighter and has a history of perseverance.

'The first time she took part in a beauty contest, in 2006, she travelled for 20 hours on a bus in very plain clothes, and without any preparation, and she ended up coming fourth. We need her to show that same kind of fight now.

'In China she took on girls from 50 countries, and came sixth and won the prize for best body.

'This is a desperately sad story and we are calling on potential donors to come forward and give blood.'

Tusiwapeleke wanachama wetu kusikotakiwa.”

Congratulations, Mr President! Two million watch Obama take the oath as America's first black commander-in-chief

Barack Obama made history this afternoon as he was sworn in as America's first black president.

Two million watching people crammed into the streets of Washington - with over a billion watching on television around the world - as the 47-year-old junior senator from Chicago became the most powerful man in the world.

His wife Michelle and two daughters Sasha and Malia watched as Mr Obama made the famous inauguration pledge to take over the White House from George Bush.

Starting his long-awaited inauguration speech, Mr Obama said: 'Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin again the work of remaking America.'

The challenges America faces - two wars, an economy in crisis, healthcare, education and the environment - are real, he said, speaking with a teleprompter.

But he added: 'On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord.

'On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn out dogmas, that for far too long have strangled our politics.

'We remain a young nation, but in the words of Scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things. The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit; to choose our better history; to carry forward that precious gift, that noble idea, passed on from generation to generation: the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free, and all deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness.'

With his hand on the Bible used in the 1861 inauguration of Abraham Lincoln - held by his grinning wife Michelle - Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts administered the 35-word oath of office taken by every American president dating to George Washington.

Cannons fired as onlookers burst into ecstatic cheers.

The White House Web site - the online bastion of the Bush administration for the past eight years - has already been updated to reflect President Barack Obama's assumption of office.

'The White House. President Barack Obama," reads the top of the new home page, which went live even before Obama finished delivering his first speech. "Welcome to the new WhiteHouse.gov. Change has come to America.'

However the dawn of the Obama presidency could not shake Wall Street from its dejection over the banking industry's growing problems. After hearing the new president's inaugural address, investors continued selling, sending the major indexes down more than two per cent.

Minutes before he was sworn in, Mr Obama had watched as Joe Biden was sworn in as his Vice President.

The crowd - which had earlier booed George Bush - could be heard chanting 'Obama!' and 'Yes we can!' as Mr Obama strode out on stage.

The President-elect arrived with Mr Bush in a motorcade from the White House. Michelle Obama, her daughters Sacha and Malia, and the Bidens have also arrived.

Former U.S. Presidents Bill Clinton and Mr Bush's father George H.W. Bush, as well as Mr Clinton's wife and the new Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, are all present for the swearing-in ceremony.

Earlier, the Bushs and the Obamas greeted each other on the steps of the White House - with Mr Bush breaking the tension by jovially shuffling from side to side as Mrs Obama went to kiss him first, then changed her mind to kiss Mrs Bush instead.

There Mr Bush hosted Mr Obama for coffee - and formally handed over the keys to the White House.

Mr Bush and his successor rode together in a heavily armoured Cadillac to the Capitol building for the inauguration ceremony.

Mr Obama began the biggest day of his life with a low-key visit to church this morning - his final moments of privacy.

He waved to bystanders as he walked into St John's Church in Washington this morning, holding hands with his wife Michelle - clad in sparkling gold.

As bells pealed, the Obamas entered the church to applause from about 200 people. The choir and congregation began singing the hymn, 'O God Our Help in Ages Past.

Vice President-elect Joe Biden joined the Obamas for the traditional morning worship in the church, across Lafayette Park from the White House.

The Rev. Luis Leon welcomed the Obamas and said every president since James Madison, the country's fourth, has worshipped at the church at least once, 'some of them kicking and screaming.'

Braving sub-zero temperatures, thousands of people gathered by first light this morning to watch Mr Obama be sworn in as America's first black president.

Up to two million people are expected to crowd the grass of the National Mall before the U.S. Capitol in Washington, DC to witness history.

Around the world up to 1.5billion more are expected to watch the son of a black man from Kenya and a white woman tell Americans: 'We will walk as one'.

Mr Bush has already left a note for Mr Obama in the top drawer of his desk in the Oval Office, following tradition.

White House press secretary Dana Perino said the theme of the message was that Obama is about to begin a 'fabulous new chapter' in the United States, and that he wishes him well.

By 4 a.m. Washington time this morning, lines of riders formed in suburban parking lots for the Metro transit system, which put on extra trains and opened an hour early for the expected rush.

The unprecedented security operation was launched at 4am, with roads and bridges leading on to the Mall closed to traffic, as well as ground, air and water patrols.

WASHINGTON - JANUARY 20: Crowds of media prepare to cover the inauguration of Barack Obama as the 44th President of the United States of America at the Capitol

As the world's media gather - bundled against the cold - to watch the historic ceremony

'Tomorrow, we will come together as one people on the same mall where Dr King's dream echoes still,' he said.

It was the President-elect's last official statement before he takes the oath as president at noon today and receives the keys to the White House, which was partly built with the labour of slaves.

The inauguration of Mr Obama will mark a milestone in America's turbulent history of race relations.

In one of his final interviews before assuming the presidency, Mr Obama said: 'There is an entire generation that will grow up taking for granted that the highest office in the land is filled by an African American.'

Mr Obama was born to a black Kenyan father and a white American mother. His father, Barack Obama Sr., married his mother, Ann Dunham, while studying at the University of Hawaii. The couple separated two years after Obama was born.

Pamela Anderson struggles to stay in her tiny bikini as she frolics with new mystery man

It may be 20 years since Pamela Anderson first stripped off for Playboy magazine, but the former Baywatch star is continuing to show off her famous curves.

The Canadian model-turned-actress-turned-author nearly flashed a bit too much of her gravity-defying curves as she frolicked on the beach with the latest man in her life.

Wearing a loose-fitting brown bikini, the 41-year-old wrestled in the sand with her hat-wearing lover.

The blonde bombshell was spotted topping up her tan on a Malibu beach, just a short walk from her beachside home.

After play fighting with her new beau, Pamela strode along the beach, appearing unaware her ill-fitting bikini bottoms were slipping down her derrière.

Pamela has been spotted on the beach with her mystery man several times last week, and introduced him to celebrity pal Matthew McConaughey when they bumped into each other one afternoon.

It looks like the mother-of-two may have found love again after three failed marriage.

Pamela split from Rick Saloman - most famous as Paris Hilton's co-star in her infamous sex tape - in December 2007, after just nine weeks of marriage.

She was also married to rap/rocker Kid Rock for four months in 2006 and Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee for three years in the late Nineties.

After making her Playboy debut in 1989 after being discovered on a TV screen while attending a Canadian football game, Pamela is hoping to appear in the men's magazine for the 14th time this year.

Pamela reminded Playboy boss Hugh Hefner of her assets in April when she presented him with his birthday cake while completely naked at his 82nd bash.

Pamela will next be seen on screen in the comedy Hollywood & Wine, alongside Shoot Me comedian David Space.
