Hata hivyo furaha ya mashabiki wa Stars ilizimwa ndani ya dakika mbili tu baada ya kupata bao la kuongoza, baada ya Badreldin Eldod kupiga kona iliyotua kichwani kwa Seifdin Ali Idrisa aliyezitingisha nyavu za Stars na kuzifanya timu hizo ziende mapumziko zikiwa sare ya bao 1-1.

Stars iliandika bao la pili katika dakika ya 60 mfungaji akiwa ni Athuman Idd ‘Chuji’. Chuji alifunga bao hilo kwa shuti la umbali wa mita 30 na hivyo kurudisha matumaini ya Stars ambayo tayari ilikuwa imeonyesha uhai.

French say they need biggest condoms

The French say they need the largest condoms in Europe while Greeks get by on smaller ones, according to a Europe-wide study by a German consultancy that provides advice on condoms.

The study by the Singen-based Institute of Condom Consultancy was done by asking 10,500 men in 25 countries to measure their penis and enter the number into a database.

The results show Frenchmen on average claim to need 15.48-cm (6.09-inch) long condoms, about 3 cm longer than Greeks, whose condom-size requirement was the most modest.

Jan Vinzenz Krause, the institute's director, told Reuters Friday the data was collected over a period of eight months.

He did not want to comment on how honest he thought the Frenchmen had been in reporting the data.

The survey was aimed at educating youngsters about the importance of effective contraception.

The institute also offers online condom-size advice and hosts "Pimp Your Condom" -- an annual fair organised in cooperation with the national Aids Trust -- with the aim of educating teens about sexually transmitted diseases.

Krause was in the spotlight in the past when he produced a prototype of the "spray-on condom" -- an aerosol can which contains latex that creates a perfectly fitting condom. But the idea was not developed further.

Woman Loses $400,000 to Nigerian E-mail Scam

An Oregon woman who is out $400,000 after falling for a well-known Internet scam says she wasn't a sucker or an easy mark.
Janella Spears of Sweet Home says she simply became curious when she received an e-mail promising her $20.5 million if she would only help out a long-lost relative identified as J.B. Spears with a little money up front.
Spears told KATU-TV about the s More..cammers' ability to identify her relative by name was persuasive.
"That's what got me to believe it," She said. "So, why wouldn't you send over $100?"
Spears, who is a nursing administrator and CPR teacher, said she mortgaged the house and took a lien out on the family car, and ran through her husband's retirement account.
"The retirement he was dreaming of — cruising and going around and seeing America — is pretty much gone for him right now," she said.
She estimates it will take two years to clear the debt that accumulated in the more than two years she spent sending money to con artists.
Her family and bank officials told her it was all a scam, she said, and begged her to stop, but she persisted because she became obsessed with getting paid.
The scheme is often called the "Nigerian scam" and it's familiar to many people with e-mail accounts. It still exists and it still works.
Spears first sent $100 through an untraceable wire service as directed by the scammers. Then, more multimillion dollar promises followed so long as she sent more money.
The scammers sent Spears official-looking documents and certificates from the Bank of Nigeria and the United Nations. President Bush and FBI Director Robert Mueller were also involved, the e-mails said, and needed her help.

But it wasn't and now Spears is paying the price for her costly lesson.
"The hope is [other people] are not going to fall as hard as I fell," Spears said.

Alisema kuwa Stars ina uwezo wa kusonga mbele kwa kuwa soka la Tanzania limepiga hatua kubwa na kuongeza kwamba nafasi pekee iliyobaki ni kuhakikisha inashinda mchezo wa leo.

Khatib aliongeza kuwa kupungua kwa migogoro ndani ya Shirikisho la Soka Tanzania (TFF) pamoja na juhudi za serikali kuwekeza kwa makocha, ufundi na viwanja kumesaidia kwa kiasi kikubwa kukuza mchezo wa soka nchini.

“Sasa Watanzania wanataka ushindi wamechoka kushindwa mara kwa mara wakati mchezo huu unaonekana kukua kwa kiasi kikubwa tofauti na ilivyokuwa miaka ya nyuma,” alisema.

Aidha, Khatib aliwasilisha salamu za Rais wa Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania, Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete za kuitakia timu hiyo ushindi katika mchezo wa kesho.

Indian commandos secure Mumbai hotel

Indian commandos late Thursday secured one of two Mumbai hotels targeted as part of a series of co-ordinated attacks that left at least 119 people dead and more than 300 injured.

Military officials said all hostages had been freed from the Taj Mahal Palace & Tower. Black-clad commandos entered the luxury hotel earlier in the day, searching floor by floor for militants involved in the attack. Officials said at least three attackers were killed.

Part of the hotel remains on fire, freelance reporter Arun Asthana told CBC Newsworld.

An unknown number of gunmen and hostages are still inside a second hotel, the Trident-Oberoi. Six Canadians are unaccounted for, but officials couldn't confirm whether they are hostages or are hunkered down in the hotel.

At least seven hostages were also freed from the headquarters of the ultra-Orthodox Jewish outreach group Chabad Lubavitch. in Mumbai, Indian officials confirmed late Thursday.

Commandos garbed in black rushed the Taj Mahal early Thursday as the sound of gunshots reverberated through the area. Gunfire and explosions could be heard from inside the building. Flames were also spotted billowing outside fourth-storey window.
Turn off lights, guests told

Indian security forces moved from room to room in the hotel, looking for gunmen and booby traps. In the afternoon, bodies and hostages were taken out of the building.

"There’s been a series of thunderous explosions that have gone off at the hotel since this morning at irregular intervals," freelance reporter Anuj Chopra told CBC News.

An unidentified man who had been trapped inside the Taj Mahal hotel told India's NDTV that hotel staff told them on Wednesday to turn off any lights in their rooms, draw the curtains and not answer the locked door if they heard any knocks.

In the morning, commandos with machine guns unlocked hotel rooms with a master key and told the guests to leave, he said, praising the Taj Mahal staff as "outstanding."
Soldiers in Oberoi hotel

M.L. Kumawat, special secretary for internal security at the Home Ministry, said that the 21st to the eighth floors in the Trident-Oberoi had been cleared by security agencies. Police were later seen escorting several hostages out of the hotel.

One of the self-proclaimed gunmen earlier told India TV that seven attackers were holding hostages inside the Oberoi.

"We want all mujahedeens held in India released, and only after that, we will release the people," a man identified as Sahadullah told India TV.

"Release all the mujahedeens, and Muslims living in India should not be troubled."

Among those being held at the Oberoi were 20 to 30 Israelis, the country's Foreign Ministry said.

Liverpool's Torres: Ronaldo Is 'A Machine'

Liverpool's number nine thinks that the Manchester United man is in 'a class of his own' and that it is he, not Torres, who deserves to land the FIFA World Player of the Year Award when its winner is announced in January.

You might not expect Fernando Torres to think too highly of Cristiano Ronaldo. The Spanish superstar plays for Liverpool after all, and those of a red persuasion on Merseyside do not tend to feel too much warmth for their bitter rivals on the other side of Lancashire.

But Liverpool's number nine thinks that the Manchester United man is in "a class of his own" and that it is he, not Torres, who deserves to land the FIFA World Player of the Year Award when its winner is announced in January.

The two players are both on a 23-man shortlist, but Torres clearly feels that the winner should be a foregone conclusion.

"No-one can rival him," the Spaniard told France Football. "He is in a class of his own. I have never seen a comparable player."

And Torres thinks that Ronaldo's feats in scoring 42 goals and winning both the Premier League and the Champions League should be more than enough for the Portugal international to collect the prize

"What he did last season is incredible. No-one won this year what he's won: UEFA Champions League, Premier League and Golden Boot," he added.

Torres could point to his own record last season: 33 goals for Liverpool (24 in the league) and a European Championship medal in Switzerland and Austria with Spain. But Torres is clearly in a gracious mood and feels that Ronaldo is simply the best there is at the moment.

"For me he is the best player in the world," Torres explained. "A machine. Incomparable."

Life terms for father who raped his daughters 1000 times

AN independent review was under way today into the case of an evil British father who raped his two daughters over 30 years, forcing them to have nine children.

The 56-year-old, dubbed the British Fritzl, got them pregnant 19 times and threatened to kill them if they told anyone about their horrific ordeal.

Yesterday he was jailed for 25 life terms.

The case was chillingly similar to Austrian beast Josef Fritzl, who raped and imprisoned his daughter.

Today Gordon Brown said that lessons must be learned from the case.

Mr Brown told MPs at Prime Minister’s Questions: "The whole country will be outraged by those unspeakable events that have been reported as happening in Sheffield.

“People will want to know how such abuse could go on for so long without the authorities and the wider public services discovering it and taking action.

“If there is a change to be made in the system and the system has failed we will change the system.”

The father, who cannot be named for legal reasons, must serve 19½ years before being considered for release, Sheffield Crown Court heard.

He had admitted 25 rapes and four indecent assault charges — but cops believe one girl was raped more than a THOUSAND times.

The attacks began in 1980 — when the daughters were aged between eight and ten — and continued on a daily basis. The last attack was in February this year.

He would drag the girls from their beds and rape them as their mum slept nearby.

If they fought, they were beaten, kicked and even held to the flames of a gas fire.

His daughters had five miscarriages and five abortions. Two babies died the day they were born.

But none of the doctors, nurses or social workers they saw while living in South Yorkshire and Lincolnshire investigated why they kept getting pregnant.

Doctors accepted the pair’s denials that their kids were fathered by their dad — who called himself “gaffer”.

The sisters choked back tears in court yesterday as Judge Alan Goldsack QC said: “In 40 years of dealing with criminal cases the circumstances here are the worst I have come across.

“Members of the public will consider you should never be released. I agree.”

A statement from the sisters said: “His detention brings us only the knowledge that he cannot touch us again.

“The suffering he caused will continue for many years.”

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson recently called for more protection to be offered to his winking wing wizard Cristiano Ronaldo and the Yellow Submarines' Capdevila was sent for an early bath for his poor challenge on the Portuguese.

The shared points mean that both sides qualify for the knock-out stages precisely one game ahead of schedule.

Speaking to ITV after the game, Ferguson said that he believed his side played the better football, and mentioned that he thought Villarreal were content to play for the draw.

"We deserve better," Ferguson said. "There was a marked improvement in terms of possession on the ball in the second half, but I'm satisfied with the overall performance. We controlled the game."

Regarding the tactics that Villarreal employed, he added: "I think they were happy to get the draw. Simple as that."

Jacko sat on the floor wearing a tiny hat after an Imam was summoned to officiate — days before the singer is due to appear at London’s High Court where he is being sued by an Arab sheik.

A source told last night how Jacko, brought up as a Jehovah’s Witness, decided to convert as he used a studio at the home of his chum to record a new album.

The star — whose hits include The Way You Make Me Feel — was spotted looking “a bit down” by a producer and a songwriter who had both embraced Islam.

The source said: “They began talking to him about their beliefs, and how they thought they had become better people after they converted. Michael soon began warming to the idea.

“An Imam was summoned from the mosque and Michael went through the shahada, which is the Muslim declaration of belief.” Mikaeel is the name of one of Allah’s angels.

“Jacko rejected an alternative name, Mustafa — meaning “the chosen one”.

Brit singer Yousef Islam, 60 — who was called Cat Stevens until he famously converted — turned up to help Jacko celebrate.

It was his pals David Wharnsby — a Canadian songwriter — and producer Phillip Bubal who counselled Jacko.

The pair’s new names are Dawud Wharnsby Ali and Idris Phillips.

Jacko now prays to Mecca after the ceremony at the Hollywood Hills home of Toto keyboard player Steve Porcaro, 51, who composed music on the singer’s Thriller album.

Jacko, who rarely ventures out without a mask, is due to give evidence on Monday in a £4.7million lawsuit brought by Prince Abdulla Al-Khalif of Bahrain.

The sheik claims he bankrolled the singer’s lavish lifestyle in exchange for an exclusive recording contract. The billionaire sent songs for him to record but claims he was blanked.

He told the court yesterday: “Many times he confirmed to me he would pay me back.”

Second child on the way for pregnant man

The transgender man who recently gave birth to a girl is having another child.
Thomas Beatie, born Tracy, had a sex change 10 years ago but kept all of his female reproductive organs.
Thomas Beatie, who is 34 and sports a beard, told Walters he did not go back on the male hormone testosterone after Susan's birth because he and his wife Nancy wanted to have another baby.

"I feel good," he said in the interview which will air on US network ABC on Friday.

"I had my checkups with my hormone level ... everything is right on track," he said, adding that the couple's second child is due June 12.

In the interview with Walters, Beatie also spoke about the birth of Susan, describing how he was in labor for 40 hours and his wife, Nancy, cut the umbilical cord of their daughter, who was not delivered by Caesarean section.

Thomas Beatie was born and grew up in Hawaii.

Known as Tracy when he was a girl, Beatie entered the Miss Teen Hawaii USA beauty contest at age 14 and made it to the finals, but says in the interview with ABC that he felt uncomfortable throughout the pageant.

Beatie began a lesbian relationship with his current wife Nancy when he was 24, and in 2002, had "sex reassignment surgery" to remove his breasts.

But he never had phalloplasty - surgery to create an artificial penis - and left his female reproductive organs in place, according to ABC.

He and Nancy were legally married in 2003 and decided to start a family.

But because Nancy had had a hysterectomy, it would fall to Thomas to carry the child.

He stopped taking the male hormone testosterone and the couple looked for a doctor who would help them obtain sperm and inseminate Thomas.

After nine doctors declined to help, the Beaties decided to take the do-it-yourself route.

"First, they bought donor sperm on the Internet and Nancy Beatie used a syringe she had bought at a pet store to inseminate her husband," ABC News reported.

"Soon after, a home pregnancy test confirmed that he was pregnant."

It was not immediately clear if the couple used the same method to conceive their second child.
